A suspected internet fraudster known as Precious mayor and three other accomplices identified as Prince Afam, Israel Simon, and Emmanuela Mayor have been arrested for alleged hostage-taking at Igbogbo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The victims were said to have traveled from Imo State to receive mentorship and instructions in internet fraud from Mayor. However, when they failed to meet their targets just a few days into their apprenticeship, Mayor reportedly confined them to a room, tortured and tormented them thereby subjecting them to physical harm.
The Lagos State Police Command arrested the suspect on Tuesday, August 26, along with three other individuals identified as his accomplices: Prince Afam, Israel Simon, and Emmanuela Mayor, who is Simon’s wife.
